First of all, you gotta be faithfull of you being alive and conscious to live
How can you be sure of you are not just dreaming?? you can't. Let me give an example:

Some mental illness make the patient live in an alternate reality, but they just don't realize that

Or maybe the matrix movie is truth: you are plugged to a machine and stucked in a illusionary reality

How can you proof to yourself you aren't crazy or living an illusion if all you hear, know, see and sense might or might be not an illusion? You can't, but you still are sure you are conscious and living without thinking of that. You BELIEVE!! you have FAITH on this!!!

This is what dunnowhathisnamewas meant with "cogito, ergo sum" ( i think, then i exist)

Once you realize you have no proof of your own existence (this is that common existential doubt) you have mainly 2 choices:
-Blindly believe you DO exist, without looking for any proof (since you can't get any)
-Giving up on life, which might or not exist. Or just getting depressed for a while, then forgetting of the problem

Option 1 is the mother of all beliefs and religions plus the need to believe it doesn't all ends after death and there's a reward and peace and equality in heaven and punishment for bad guys on hell. Or whatever your religion says.

Or maybe God does exist, no way to proof if it exists or not, or if Zeus exist or not, or if BreadGod exists

If you think about it, it's more probable that an eternal being not bonded to Time itself, generated the universe out of nothing cause it felt alone, than the fact than things just "suddenly blowed up in a Big Bang" and created shit. What caused the explosion? WHAT was before the explosion? what was before of what was BEFORE the explosion?? still a bunch of questions there
